Glen Petersen Architect were commissioned to undertake full design and oversee the construction of the new facility for Micris packaging & printing company. The specialist facilities housed the large printing equipment and packaging manufacturing equipment. GPA also undertook the design of the office space and fit-out for the associated offices. A second Industrial warehouse and offices were constructed on the site utilizing the dual street frontages providing additional income for the client. The site allows for access for large articulated vehicles to easily move through the site servicing the 2 buildings.
In the initial stages of the project staff from GPA spent time at the existing facility assessing how the equipment was used and becoming familiar with the process of manufacture that occurred to ensure that the design of the building supported the most efficient processes and functionality.
