The project brief called for an efficient, compact and resilient building. Whilst maintaining the projects budget, design and functionally were never compromised. This multi -residential development in the heart of Tweed Heads, consisting of an 8-storey residential unit development with 52 apartments with basement carparking and communal spaces, merges the line between affordability and aesthetics. Predominantly designed in standard reinforced concrete frame and light weight in-fill paneling the exterior accents of warm timber battening, and textured concrete walls add to the visual interest.
GPA with the client met with council prior to lodgment of the project to discuss how we could uphold council’s strategies for the area which is currently undergoing a period of growth and change. Through our open and supportive relationship with the Tweed Shire Council we were able to create a proposal that we believe will help to spur on further high quality developments in the area while achieving a great outcome for our client.
